You Won't Lose it Right Away

Taking a break from exercise doesn't mean losing all your progress.

Whether you're recovering from an injury, dealing with an illness, or simply navigating a busy season of life, your body is more resilient than you might think.

Research shows that while cardiovascular fitness can begin to decline within a couple of weeks, strength and muscle mass are often preserved much longer.

And remember, most of these studies involve people stopping structured exercise—not stopping movement altogether. Walking, climbing stairs, working, and everyday activities still provide valuable physical stimulation.

You don't have to be training at your best to maintain some of what you've built.

Progress isn't erased by a temporary setback, and when you're ready to return, you're not starting from scratch.

And you can always build back stronger—I see this in our practice everyday.
